They're entertaining and amusing, and I can read them while I'm pretty much half asleep. Ken breathes a sigh of relief, sheds a few tears, and completely forgets the existence of Ashley Morgan. Sweet Valley Confidential: Ten Years Later revisited the characters ten years later, by which time they had become adults. In a change, however, the peril becomes non-stop. Some characters remain the same, some are so different from where I would think they should be. The final book left Elizabeth with yet another man that had claimed to love her but proving he actually loved someone else instead. Their Jessica and Todd's will-they-or-won't-they back and forth became irksome and tiring. I very much enjoyed this story, but it was completely ridiculous.
I am most bothered by the fact that in October the e-serial will be issued as a one volume novel. To view it, This isn't great literature. I have been reading these series since they can out and the ending to this book is so wrong in so many ways. Pascal offered readers a glimpse into their lives at the age of thirty, and I enjoyed this series. There is a celebration to toast Bruce's newfound freedom and Liz notes that she's the only single person at the party.
